Posted on by Writing West Midlands Posted in Uncategorized | Comments Off on Issue 2 out now!

The second issue of Write On! Magazine is available to view now by heading to the Latest Issue page or the Issue 2 page. We had a huge response from children and young people aged 8 – 16 from across the West Midlands, a total of 33 young writers submitted 58 pieces of writing including short stories, prose and poetry.

Many of the young people who are featured in Issue 2 are from our creative writing groups for children and young people, the Writing Squads. Magazine’s editor, William Gallagher, said of this issue ‘I was immensely, just immensely pleased that Issue 2 welcomes back a small set of writers who had been stars in the first edition’. William read every single piece and the writers received feedback on each. Not all pieces submitted were accepted into the Magazine, some young writers were asked to edit their work to potentially use in Issue 3 which will be out in April 2014.

We hope you enjoy reading Issue 2 as much as we have! If you know a young writers who would like to submit their writing to be included in Write On! Magazine, please visit the Get Involved page for more information.
