Pink
Ruby McKie
A man standing in the daffodils
To take a photo
They’re spray painted
Neon pink
Pink follows me;
It colours the sparse flowers
blooming through the bricks
It’s dyed into a lady’s hair
And the fibres of her beanie
It’s on the mural covering the wall
In the woman’s curls
Painted rosebud pink
It lingers
In a faded coffee shop sign
That used to be red
