Focused only on one goal
Ignoring all else

Lightning surges all around the cathedral. It ripples off my fingers and spills out onto the stone floor, cascading down the cobbled steps. Man made storm in a stained glass bottle. My eyes light up with wonder. My child gives out a slow groan. The walls begin to crack.

All ambition leaves
When you see what you have done.
Time does not heal all.

Sometimes we think we know someone. Until we don’t, and the betrayal hits. Knowledge is not to be put in the wrong hands.

Memories still ring in the cluttered hallways. Their first house as husband and wife still frozen in time. The police believe him when he tells them it was an accident. All is going to plan.
