Song of the Body

Song of the Body
Gareth Roberts

The blood sings beneath my skin.

Burning hot as fire, it pulses

Through my veins in red ribbons.

The song it sings is of my body,

Of heat and of breath, of life

And of lust, of thinking and of

Speaking. And by the sound of its

Singing, I know that I still live.
