Online Junior 22-23 - Spark Young Writers

Online Junior group for 2022-23

This group is aimed at young people in school years 3 – 6 (aged 8 – 11).

Led by writer Sara-Jane Arbury with an assistant writer, the group will meet online from 10am – 12pm on the following Saturdays:

17th September 2022
15th October 2022
12th November 2022
10th December 2022
14th January 2023
11th February 2023
11th March 2023
[no April session]
13th May 2023
17th June 2023
1st July 2023

The sessions cost £10 for a taster session, or £9 per session when booked for all remaining sessions. You can choose to pay in one lump sum or pay by monthly recurring card payments.

Please note, we encourage young people to join one group for the year, as getting to know their fellow group members is an important part of developing as a writer.

We are pleased to be able to offer free places to those who receive free school meals or pupil premium funding at school. You can see our bursary policy here. Please contact us with any queries.

The young people will need to bring

a notebook or some paper,
a pen or pencil to write with,
a snack and a drink, if they want one.

Join a Group

With groups across the West Midlands, including 2 online-only groups, there will be a Spark Young Writers group near you.

Groups are open to young writers aged 8-17 who are interested in any type of creative writing.
